This new centre can hold over 1,000 employees and will focus on financial technology (FinTech) for banks and insurance companies around the world. It was opened on June 7, 2025, by Gujarat’s Chief Minister, Bhupendrabhai Patel.

What’s Happening at the New Centre?
Infosys spent ₹32 crore to build this centre. It will work on:
- Digital banking, payments, and trade finance.
- Using new tech like AI, cloud, and blockchain to help global clients.
- Making secure and smart solutions for banking and finance.
Jayesh Sanghrajka, a top leader at Infosys, said, “This centre in GIFT City will help us lead in financial tech and work with big global companies.” It will also train and hire local people, giving them jobs to work on exciting projects.
Jobs and Work Style
The centre is made for 1,000+ employees and uses a hybrid work style, meaning people can work from the office or home. It’s also eco-friendly, saving energy and water. Gujarat’s Chief Minister said this centre will bring more jobs and make GIFT City a big name in tech and finance. Experts think it could create 30,000 to 40,000 jobs in the future.

Why It Matters
GIFT City is becoming a popular place for tech and finance companies. Infosys’ new centre will help India become a leader in FinTech. It follows other companies like Cognizant, which also opened a centre in GIFT City recently. Infosys wants to use Gujarat’s talent to grow more in this area.
